Fresh Jewelweed leaves and flowers have the ability to stop itching from poison ivy, poison oak, and even some types of bug bites! The trick is, it must be extracted from the FRESH plant as soon as possible after harvesting. I often take my tincturing supplies out to my favorite Jewelweed patches with me to get them extracting as soon as they're cut.
The Itch, Please! spray is a convenient way to have year round access to the anti-itch properties of fresh jewelweed! The 2oz bottle contains jewelweed that has been extracted in alcohol & witch hazel. (FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.) Spray it directly onto the affected areas of skin as soon as possible after contact. I prefer the spray over the salve for rashes that are weepy or producing pus. It is also a great option for using before getting into bed, or under clothes that you don't want to get oily with a salve. Be sure to keep a bottle in your hiking.
The Itch, Please! salve also contains all the properties of fresh jewelweed, as it has been infused into organic avocado oil & set with beeswax. It is the better choice for dry rashes where the skin is flaking off. You may also with to use the salve preventively, applying it to legs & ankles before heading into the woods, which may prevent the skin reaction from occurring if you unknowingly come into contact with poison ivy or oak.
