This design was originally created to print one onesie for a little babe named Max. But it turned out a lot of other people wanted a mushroom onesie as well. I am not a block printer, but this was a fun side project for me to work on during a period of time when I felt a lack of motivation to work. This change of pace gave me a little glimpse of inspiration, something to look forward to. I dyed & printed each one of these pieces in memory of my son, Shiloh, who died at 18 weeks gestation. I hope that you will think of him too when you dress your sweet babes in these clothes.
Each of these onesies & children's shirts has been individually hand dyed & block printed with a hand-carved mushroom stamp. They are not perfect, but each unique & one of a kind, like the babes who will wear them.
Fabric care: wash on gentle cycle with like colors, & hang or tumble dry on low heat.
100% cotton, dyed with RIT fabric dye, printed with speedball fabric ink.
